Scowl for the Camera

Worn: June 10, 2013

I'm very pleased with the picture quality produced by my new Canon EOS Rebel T4i. But I'm less pleased with my ability to take pictures with it. Twice I've found the battery completely drained when I went to take pictures. Lynn hadn't turned the power off the previous time she used it and I hadn't checked behind her. There is, I've discovered, an automatic shut off timer, but unlike on all of my low end cameras, it is not enabled by default.

I have a tripod and a remote control for the camera, which I've been able to avoid using thanks to Lynn and Rebecca's help. But I don't always have a friend available when I want to take pictures, so today I'm finally testing the remote. It doesn't work very well. I have to press the trigger several times for every time the camera actually shoots. So while I may start a pose with a pleasant expression, by the time it is recorded, I frequently slip into a scowl.
